Who Runs Sixpacks.fit?

Sixpacks.fit is independently operated by Shakeel Ahmed, who serves as the publisher and sole website operator. There is no team, no staff writers, and no external reviewers. Every calculator, article, and page on this site is created and maintained by one person.

Why This Website Exists

The idea for Sixpacks.fit came from a simple frustration: most fitness calculators online are either buried behind sign-up walls, cluttered with ads, or hard to use on a phone. The goal was to build a set of clean, fast, no-nonsense calculators that anyone can use for free, right in their browser, without creating an account or downloading anything.

Whether you are tracking body fat percentage, figuring out your daily calorie needs, or planning macronutrient targets, the tools here are designed to give you a quick estimate and get out of your way.

What Sixpacks.fit Provides

The site currently offers 12 free, browser-based fitness calculators. These cover:

  • Body fat percentage (using the U.S. Navy method)
  • Daily calorie needs (using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation)
  • Macronutrient breakdowns for different fitness goals
  • Other related fitness and body composition calculations

All calculations run entirely on your device. No data is sent to a server, stored, or shared. You can use every tool without entering an email address or creating an account.

How the Tools Are Built

Every calculator is built with JavaScript and runs client-side in your browser. The formulas used are based on established methods:

  • Body fat percentage: U.S. Navy body fat method, which uses circumference measurements (neck, waist, hip) to estimate body fat.
  • Calorie needs: Mifflin-St Jeor equation, a widely used formula for estimating basal metabolic rate (BMR).

The code for each calculator is reviewed and tested before publishing. When a formula or input field needs adjustment, the update is made directly and the change is live as soon as it is deployed.

Commitment to Accuracy

Getting the math right matters. Every calculator uses formulas from published, recognized sources. Before a tool goes live, the outputs are checked against known examples to make sure the results match.

That said, these calculators produce estimates, not exact measurements. Body composition and metabolism are complex, and no formula can account for every individual variable. The results you get here are meant to give you a useful starting point, not a definitive number.

Transparency About Limitations

Here is what these calculators cannot do:

  • They cannot replace a DEXA scan, hydrostatic weighing, or other clinical body composition tests.
  • They cannot account for medical conditions that affect metabolism or body composition.
  • They are not a substitute for advice from a doctor, registered dietitian, or other qualified health professional.
  • They should not be used as the sole basis for any health or fitness decision.

If you have specific health concerns or conditions, please consult a qualified professional. The information and tools on this site are for general educational and informational purposes only.

Content and Maintenance

As the sole operator, Shakeel Ahmed handles everything: writing the content, building and updating the calculators, fixing bugs, and keeping the site running on Blogger CMS. There is no editorial board, no medical advisory panel, and no external contributors.

This means the content reflects the work of one person who cares about building useful tools and being honest about what they can and cannot do. If you spot an error, a broken calculator, or outdated information, please reach out and it will be fixed.
